Transparency in the Frost. A high-performance sanctuary designed for the Gateway to the West.

Lumina Ridge challenges the notion that glass and winter are enemies. This home is a fortress of light, designed to maximize every ray of the Summerside sun while maintaining a perfectly regulated interior micro-climate.

The Vision

We utilized expansive southern-facing glass walls with state-of-the-art triple-glazing to capture winter solar gain. The architectural lines are sharp and clean, reflecting the crystalline beauty of a Manitoba winter morning.

Interior Grandeur

A "floating" glass staircase anchors the triple-height atrium, allowing light to reach the deepest corners of the home. The material palette—white oak, polished concrete, and brushed aluminum—evokes a sense of modern serenity.

Performance

  • Glazing: Argon-filled triple-pane Low-E units.
  • HVAC: Ultra-high-efficiency air-source heat pump.
  • Isolation: Sound-dampened media suite and private library.
